Fairtrade food and drink has the additional benefit of knowing that the producers receive a fair price for their produce. I think it is worth reminding ouselves that farmers in our own country should also receive a fair price. Many farmers are being priced out of existence, so support your local farmers markets and know where the food has come from. Ask quesitons about farming and the welfare of the animals
